The old house was straight from Hansel and Gretel, with the bonus of a fabulous garden. It was free of furniture and we were “lucky” enough to get to furnish it ourselves.
After 11 trips to the Ikea in Oldenburg the house is starting to shape up and become livable. Normally, the previous owners take everything AND the kitchen sink with them but we were lucky and got a furnished kitchen and bath.

Gosh. What a beautiful house.
Thanks! We are really enjoying our stay here but I am awful glad we are just renting because I would hate to try to fix the thatched roof!
