Haugesund and Emden have become sister cities. They have a lot in common both being coastal towns with similar populations, similar industries and similar traditions.
We have a permanent residence in Haugesund and are lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay in Emden for a few years because of my husband’s work. As loyal Haugesunder, I will be exploring Emden and what the west coast of Germany has to offer and presenting some pictures and information about Haugesund on Norway’s west coast.

Hello, I live in Germany, near Kaiserslautern. I would like to make thrifting trips to France, such as strasbourg or other nearby French cities. Any advice on locating thrifts in the area? Thank you for your site!
Hi Price!
I use vide-greniers.org to find Brocante marchees in Alsace region. You are so lucky with your location. Looks like there is one coming up the 28th of March http://vide-greniers.org/agendaRegion.php?region=1&mois=2M&type=2
You can check out my other posts about Strasbourg http://wifeincaptivity.com/?s=strasbourg – we were there last year but are going to be spending more time in the area this spring! Vive la France!
